MEETING UPDATE
11th May, 2019
Indigins expected on the meeting didn't show up, but new members with their prosperity faces were all overwhelmed with the outstanding vision displayed by members of the great AAPSuD. Nothing was contrary from the usual approach of the meeting proceedings. The chairperson who doubles as the President get over to the driving seat and admonished every perticipant to uphold the essence of the meeting.
There were Six campuses of Ambassadors present which are IPAM, Milton Maggai, F.T.C, IAMTECH, Blue crest college and FBC chapters.
Among the things that were to be discuss was the assignment that engineers the development of the establishment. This in the verge was plained to the general members for opinions and views. As organized as the chairman was, he therefore took the verge to first of all ring the motion of creating bond among new and old members of the organization. So this went on with a brief introduction by members present at the meeting. Further than that, the Secretary and the Finance Director were encouraged to take the meeting through the registration process and moneys that are currently in the reserve. As these two individuals are the key players in the registration proceedings. Moreover, this also potrays the ideal of accountability to the general members. Not only had this move interest the members, but also the new Ambassadors will recognise that the progress made by the organization in fostering the registration is purposefully abreast. Going further, the time for everybody to unleash their opinions, on the main theme of the meeting anual work plan was now in progress.
This time opinions, were transported from all over the four corners of the meeting, which are constructively in line with the objectives and the icon for which the organization stands for AAPSuD. Questions were pumped over on the table for clearance and orientations, so as answers for them were in maximum. Greatness as it could be, new members were so delighted to be a part of the establishment as a platform in which the can give back to the society. Improved idealogy with digital experiences was conveyed into the convoy of the meeting.

The position of all the executives of AAPSuD shall be made by election in a secret ballot voting that if consensus failed will be elected
Only 80% of meeting attendance Ambassadors or active Ambassadors are qualify to vote and be voted for
The attendance list are evidence of the active and inactive Ambassadors
The Chairman of Students council shall be the Electoral Commissioner
The Commissioner shall serve until the formation of a new National Executive Ambassadors
The procedure for all secret ballot Elections shall be determine by the Electoral Commissioner
All complains pertaining the Election mal-practices shall be directed to the Electoral Commissioner .
Tenure of Office.
There shall be elections of National Executives
Ambassadors into office of the AAPSuD after every
two years.
Members of National Executives Ambassadors shall hold office for only two terms
There shall be elections of Campus Executives Ambassadors into office of the AAPSuD after every one year
Members of Campus Executives Ambassadors shall hold office for two terms
The Electoral Commissioner shall hold office for only one year or one term and non extended term of two years

Gov’t provides Grant-in-Aid to science students.
The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, has stated in a press release that they would provide grant–in -aid to all newly admitted students into the University of Sierra Leone, Njala University, Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology, Eastern Polytechnic and Freetown Teachers College.
The released, which was signed by Permanent Secretary Gilbert Cooper, said government would provide grant-in–aid to admitted students reading Engineering, Physics, Agriculture and Mathematics, among other areas.
‘’ All student admitted to read Engineering, Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the 2018/2019 academic year irrespective of the tertiary institution have been awarded the Sierra Leone grant-in –aid ,’’ the release states.
It advised registrars and finance officers in the respective colleges to duly accord the awardees services they deserve, adding that other applicants for the government scholarship should look forward to interview schedules.
It could be remembered that during his campaign for the presidency, President Julius Maada Bio pledged his government’s support and commitment to improving education. The free quality education is his flagship programme which he launched on 20th August 2018.
